The Colin O'Dare Masonic Bursary 2014

Free Masonry RW Bro Stephen Hookey makes the presentation to Kazuaki Roach

High Tech student, Kazuaki Roach is the recipient of this year’s Colin O’Dare Masonic Bursary Award. Kazuaki has just completed an HNC Course in Computing at Pembrokeshire College, gaining Merits and Distinctions in every module of the course and plans to use the award to help fund a degree course in Computer Programming at Swansea Metropolitan University.
 

The Provincial Grand Master of West Wales, Right Worshipful Brother Stephen Hookey presented Rhodri with a cheque for £1500 and a certificate to commemorate the award on Monday 21st July 2014. The award is given annually by the Provincial Grand Charity of the Masonic Province of West Wales to encourage worthy students to further their education and Kazuaki was selected this year because of his outstanding achievement during his time at Pembrokeshire College.

 

Kazuaki was born in Tokyo and is half Japanese and half Welsh. Having lived much of his life in the Middle East, Kazuaki and his family have recently returned to their ancestral roots in Solva. The Province of West Wales wishes him every success in his future endeavours.
