Two students Chrissy Asplin and Katie Wilmott are pictured receiving their Dr John B Lloyd Masonic Bursary Award cheques from the Assistant Provincial Grand Master W Bro Ryland L James. They are studying to achieve a MSc in Animal Science at The Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS) at Aberystwyth University.
The award is given annually by the Provincial Grand Charity of the Masonic Province of West Wales to encourage worthy students to further their education and Chloe was selected this year because of her previous outstanding achievement in Higher Education.
Both Chrissy and Katie have completed their Under-Grad qualifications in Equine Studies and are now working towards their final Post-Grad year of study specialising in Animal Science, with Chrissy specialising in areas of Infectious Genetics and Kattie working on Nutritional Science.
Katie was delighted to receive this bursary which will go a long way to help her develop her love of horses and give her the opportunity to take part in extra Curriculum activities working on and developing skills with equine welfare.
Chrissy stated that the bursary would help so much toward her research into the genetics whilst allowing her to concentrate on her passion for working with horses.
The Assistant Provincial Grand Master and team wished the girls every success with their future.
