West Wales Freemasons give £20,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support to Celebrate Tercentenary

Macmillan Cancer Support has received 20,000 from the Freemasons, who are celebrating their 300th anniversary.

 

Stephen Hookey, Head of West Wales Freemasons was hosted at the Macmillan Information and Support Centre in Withybush Hospital by Sue Reece, Macmillan Fundraising Manger for West Wales and members of the Macmillan Team from across the area.

 

Sue Reece, Macmillan Fundraising Manager for Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion said

 

“I was delighted to be able to illustrate first-hand how the support of the Freemasons has helped so many people in West Wales to access and receive funding to relieve their financial difficulties due to having a cancer diagnosis.”

 

Stephen Hookey, Head of West Wales Freemasons, said:

 

“Charity has always been at the heart of Freemasonry and I’m delighted that we can celebrate our 300th anniversary by donating to this outstanding organisation which does so much to help local people.”
