The village of New Hedges is looking forward to the next phase of its play park project as it swings into 2018.
The community’s popular playground, at the rear of the village hall, had to be demolished last year because it was not cost-effective to repair.
The New Hedges Play Area Regeneration Project was launched to raise funds for new play equipment, and was able to quickly meet its target for the first phase of work.
This has seen two new sets of swings installed, together with new surfacing.
A donation of £500 from the Tenby Masonic Lodge has helped fundraising on its way for the second phase, which will see a multi-play unit being bought and installed. A Lottery grant of £5,000 has also been received. Tenby Observer
