The spectacular and much-loved Lantern Parade returns to Haverfordwest on Thursday 31st October at 7pm. Over The Moon Lantern and Light Event is a celebration of space and the night sky; marking 50 years since the 1st moon landing and imagining life beyond earth.
People from across the county will gather in Castle Square before walking in the candle-lit lantern procession to the Castle.
Haverfordwest Castle will come alive with lights and a human powered cinema featuring short films to celebrate the moon and the Autumnal dark sky.
Be part of the Lantern Parade: come along to a public lantern making workshop!
Regency Hall, Saundersfoot on October 5th, Broadhaven Memorial Hall on October 12th,
Oriel Y Parc St David’s on October 19th Haverhub, Haverfordwest on October 26th, 27th and 28th.
All workshops are 10am to 4pm.
There is a suggested donation of £2 a lantern.

Haverfordwest Castle will come alive with lights and a human powered cinema (powered by 17 bikes installed by Electric Pedals https://www.electricpedals.com featuring short films to celebrate the moon, the stars and the Autumnal dark sky.
The event is being developed in collaboration with Haverhub, Haverfordwest Castle and Haverfordwest Town Council. This project has received funding by Arts Council of Wales, Haverfordwest Town Council, Pembrokeshire County Council, Leader, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government, Planed, the CWBR project and West Wales Freemasons.
