At a recent Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru dinner meeting held at The Mariners Hotel in Haverfordwest, Clive Webb of Tenby took the opportunity of presenting Mr. Neil Fenn - consultant urological surgeon at Morriston Hospital - with a cheque for £8,680. They had met on a number of occasions prior to this evening as Mr. Fenn operated on Clive at the Heath Hospital, Cardiff, to remove his prostate cancer.
The surgical procedure was completed using the wonderful Da Vinci Laparoscopic Machine.
Another highpoint was the presentation to Mr. Fenn of a cheque of £25,000 by PFOPC chairman, Brian Harries.
Clive raised this amount by obtaining sponsorship for the Saundersfoot Triathlon which he completed with friends Julie Hurlow and Dominic Edwards (Pictured above), as well as the Cardiff Half Marathon, running with daughter Tori.(Pictured below)
Other fundraisers organised included a very enjoyable and successful ‘Evening with Eddie Butler’, a well-attended ’Soup and Sweets’ evening, and last but not least, the ’Big Breakfast Bap’ morning with sidekick Tori as hardworking sole chef.
Clive would like to sincerely thank members of The Masonic Province of West Wales, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Dyfed, members of St. Mary’s Church, and each and every one who kindly supported him by attending the above mentioned events and for monies raised by cheque, in cash and online at his ‘JustGiving’ page.
